This page lists the various software and programs used by Anisa to make ACO. Individual contributors may use different programs.

The software used to create the site you see here.
- Drupal: Drupal is a Content Management System, a way to manage content that changes. It is particularly focused on community sites, and is very flexible...IF you know how to use it!
- Gallery 2: Gallery 2 is a photo gallery software (also known as Mentalto's gallery). It is highly customizable, and scalable, but more than that, it is very user friendly. It currently manages the over 19,000 images in the ACO Scans Gallery.

- Lupas Rename 2000: This free software is extremely useful for changing the filenames of lots of scans at one time. You can also undo what you have done, or preview what changes the software will make.
- Adobe Photoshop: Anisa uses this to edit images. Particularly useful is the Actions panel. You can record a set of actions, and then just use that set on any image. For example, image resize 50%, save as JPG in xxx folder, close. For basic image editing, IRfanviewer is a good, free, choice. You can also change image sizes etc in batches through IRfanviewer.
- Gallery Remote: This special Gallery software uploads scans directly into the Gallery. For uploading hundreds of scans at once, this software can't be beat!
- Filezilla and SmartFTP: FTP programs. Scans are not uploaded through FTP, but for website management, an FTP program is essential. In general, Filezilla, which is completely free, is used, but when files need to be changed recursively (each and every file in each selected folder), SmartFTP (free for non-commercial users) has more features.
