How is everything?
So, it's late and I should be studying for French. But, I don't wanna, so I'm not going to yet.
I was wondering how everyone has been, both with the collecting and with life. Sorry if this is the wrong forum to do so.
Schools been hard for me. I decided that now that I was in tenth grade, I should be really trying. If I can get Bs and high Cs without trying, then I should study and get the best I can instead. This means less video games and reading (which makes me sad) but I've been doing well.
XD and I feel like such a Narutard. Everytime I have some extra cash, I'll go to buy something and get distracted by something Naruto related. "Well...maybe I should buy these figures first" or "but these cards look great..." I also messed up on an order, and I'm sad because my boxes haven't even been shipped yet. And I live across the state, so even when they ship it'll take weeks. Eh...maybe it's the surprise that makes waiting hard. I ordered a box of Naruto Etching 2 cards, but got the 2nd movie cards for sale and have no idea of what they look like. I want to see them.
And if anyone is capable of pointing me in the direction of a box of anything Magic Knight Rayearth related, could they tell me? Besides some individual cards on Ebay, I've seen nothing. (And pulling cards from packs is more fun then just buying a set. Though a regular set for a good price would also interest me).

I understand about reading, my mommy used to limit how many books I could borrow from the library...
But yes, especially if you plan to go to college, you should try to get the best grades you can. Try to never get a C, for example. They kill your GPA. :)
MKR... MKR is tough, it's pretty old, I think it's about the same time as Sailor Moon. I think the only thing you can find a box for is the OAV set, but where, I don't know. Other sets are the two PP sets, the Tomy set(very very expensive), and there was an Italian set. But the Tomy set is still sought after by a lot of people chasing down those last rare cards, and the pp sets are mostly singles... No idea about the Italian set.

PS: I agree with akai neko! I may complain, but a set that is easy to collect (like the tsubasa chronicle cards) is almost no fun!

Well, I've gotten one quiz
Well, I've gotten one quiz grade below an 80 so far, and that was in French.
^_^ Studying does help. I just hope I don't get lazy...
Anyway, you're right. MKR was out around 1997...for some reason, my mind is still stuck in 2000. It's hard for me to remember just how long ago 1997 was. (9 years)! And I have no interest in the OAV/OVA set. Mh...I'm pretty new to this. I might as well track down some easier to find (though not too easy) older sets before I try something like MKR.
Anyway, I like the feeling of opening a pack and praying something good is inside. Reg. sets don't bother me at all: I'll buy them off of someone if I feel like it. It's the rarer cards that I like pulling from packs.
I was tempted to buy a third box of the Naruto: Ninja Ranks cards for the chase cards, but since I'm only missing around 6 it wouldn't have been a good idea (money wise). At this point I need to stop and just look around for them on the internet.
MKR cards
Are you interested only in the Tomy Set or in the Pull Pack Set, too? Because the PullPack Sets you can still find on ebay. For the Tomy Set I have a few double I would consider to trade for Naruto Etching cards if you have some for me.^^
I have a few cards extra of the Pull Pack Set, too.
Pulling cards from packs is great but also annoying, for example the disappointment when you get just the same cards you already have three times or when you get the only special you already have double and nothing else. T-T I think Packs are only great when you start a Set or need most of the cards.
Now something came to my mind, can't we make a poll for the most beautiful or most hard to get Card Set or something?

The only way to do it, which I just realized now, is to first take nominations, and then have a vote by poll.
I'd probably rather do Most Beautiful Set, Favorite Set, and maybe favorite card.

Whatever set is easier. MKR
Whatever set is easier. MKR was the first manga I ever read, so I have an attachment towards the series. I wouldn't mind trading doubles of the Etching cards, but:
1.It's the second set. Naruto Etching Collection 2.
2.My order hasn't even shipped yet. I'm having problems getting my money to them. I think I fixed it two days ago. ^_^;
Once it reaches me I plan on putting up a list of what I have/need.
Also, I've noticed with both the etching cards and some magnets I've been buying: Is sorting sometimes NOT random? I've pulled whole packs that are exactly the same as ones I've bought before. And the magnet, which are three to a pack, I've gotten at least three packs that were exactly the same as ones I've bought before. It's a little annoying, and makes it harder for me to just throw away a couple of dollars on a pack just to see if I'm lucky. I wouldn't mind so much if every pack was different, and I just didn't get a good one.
Collation hasn't been random
Collation hasn't been random for a while. Publishers usually fiddle with things so you have to buy X many boxes to complete a set.

not so bad for me in the moment...
well, I most of my time hated going to school, I was really happy when I finally finished it. But then studying in University wasn't so good either, so now I am doing my vocational training, and have to go to school again.^^
Well but guess I like it much more know than back then, because for ones now it is my desicion to go there and my lessons are more interesting for me now.
Well for my trading card addiction, I really like it hunting for cards, if it is relly hard to get one set I am more happy to have it.^^ But if I like it, I will buy it complete on ebay, too. And I love to trade them.^^
For Magic Knight Rayearth, I already have a lot of cards from 4 different Sets, without ever buying one pack or box. The same goes for a lot of other Sets I am collecting, for excample I finished my CCS Sakura Chapter Set without any packs or boxes either that is not so hard.^^
