I don't buy cards much anymore, but the other day I was looking around on Ebay, and saw some cards that were, to my mind, clearly fake.

Please be careful, especially if you're new and you don't know what to look for. I'd like to invite everyone to post their "How to spot fakes" tips here.

Here's mine: Sometimes fakes will take images from various sets, put a border on them, and sell them together. You can tell because the designs of the pictures are all so different.

Hey, all. I have a major paper to do, but I wanted to know if the site looked funny to anyone else? My sidebars are looking odd. I use Netscape 9 on my 14" laptop with Vista. I'm not sure what's causing it, it didn't look that way yesterday. I am going to upgrade the site, and see if that fixes it. Please let me know.

This is not really anything to do with anime trading cards, but I just read on the Anime News Network that there'll be a new Slayers anime!! Since it's my all time favorite show, I'm pretty happy! You can see the article here.

Wow! That took a lot of work! Phew! I hope you saw the security alert I posted. For those of you who used the site, please check your computers with the latest anti-virus. I can give you some more details with the kind of virus that was affecting ACO. (bad shady russian criminal organization! bad!)

Should you trust ACO again? Yes, and no. :) Yes, you should always trust that I will do the best I can. But NO, I am not a professional programmer, and my best, quite frankly, is not good enough for your computer, home of your most precious things! PLEASE keep your security up on your browser, and make sure your anti-virus, anti-spyware is up to date!

This is a temporary bug list to deal with problems you see right now. We do try to keep track of bugs behind the scenes, but I will be upgrading the main site soon so I want to clean up some things.

IMPORTANT UPDATE: Two of you reported not being able to login... then I couldn't log in either!! OOo, freaky. I think it's fixed (or, at least, fixed enough that you can now do the solution below). If not, PLEASE report it to me!

The recent focus on trading card games has put a lot of stress on our hard working admins, so we're looking for more help!

And by we, I mean akai neko, who is ACO's head admin. She is looking for someone to write set information that goes in the gallery. Knowledge of trading card games and/or HTML is a special bonus. You may also process scans (rename files, upload them).

All the training you need is provided, we don't just say here, do this! :) If you are interested, please let me know either by emailing me at mystavash@animecards.org or commenting on this post.

Hello, lovely ladies and gentleman!

This is a late declaration, but we've decided January 2007 is Futari wa Pretty Cure month!

While of course we will continue to take any scans and information you have to give us, as a target, we declare that we want to get as many Pretty Cure scans and information we can!

Pretty Cure is a relatively new series that is super popular with young girls in Japan. There are many trading cards relesed for it. akai_neko is running a forum topic to gather information about these sets.
