When no one is posting, I pay more attention to logs.
The Gallery URLS recently changed to be more search engine friendly. However, this also means that if we change the album name, some links may be broken.
Not sure what to do with this. I can change it back to numbers. You can always access the item through the navigation menu.
Let me know what you think.

This was too funny. People, searching for 'cleavage' will not bring up a list of pics with lots of cleavage in them. Not because ACO doesn't have them, but because no one has bothered to ADD that keyword to any of the pictures. Sorry.
Since we don't add keywords, the most effective way to search is still just plain old series or set (or other words that would likely appear in the set info, like bandai). If you're really good, you can also search for a specific card using the card file name.

amused.
Menu items for the trading lists were removed. I am trying to gradually clear up the menu.
These links have been replaced with ONE link in the upper right corner (near the search box).
I will also remove the Info link, and unexpand the FAQ link. Not many people use the news from other sites feature, this maybe be removed and put somewhere else.
Let me know if you want something or object to something being moved. I am mostly guessing what you want, so if you tell me... no guessing! :)

Some people use this, and some people don't.
At first, I didn't use this, but now I find it really conveinant! I used to have an administrator menu, but I am going to change everything to bookmarks. :)
This is only for Registered Members. When you log in, you should see a little section [yourusername]'s bookmarks. You can add any link! It can be a link to the page you are currently viewing (quick link), it can be a link to anything on ACO, or even anything on the net (manage).
Try it! I think it's a great feature. You can bookmark your favorite set, or something you thought was interesting, and it's right there, wherever you are.
I am always making small tweaks (fixes) to ACO. Today I changed the comment feature slightly. You can now choose to post your comment without previewing it, and you can set your comment settings... do you only want to see the titles of the comments (collapsed), do you want to see them all in a straight column, not indented (flat)? You can choose for yourself. :)
Please be aware posting comments is for registered members, to avoid spam. Registering is easy and painless, and you get many benefits. :)

The first version of ACO was made from HTML, and you could only see the thumbnails. At some point, I had to change computers, so to save space, I only took the thumbnails, and I had no way of getting the real files out of my laptop.
Any files in ACO you see that end with a -t are thumbnails, they won't get bigger if you look at the original picture (RLW Tomy, for example). I have found some of the original files and am backing them up now. Since they won't add to the actual scan COUNT, they are not a priority, but I'll try to list them up so you and I both know they are on the to do list. I couldn't find the RLW tomy set, though, which is disappointing, but oh, well.
Since one of our members has already figured this out!
You can ADD a link to any item in the Scans Gallery to YOUR album. Please see Love2000AMGlam's album for an example.
To do this, click on ADD Items. There are several tabs on top. One is LINK. You can add a link to an album, or a link to something else on the Internet.
Try it out! :)

I realized I didn't have a post on this here.
The ACO ML was created when ACO was, to handle discussions about ACO features off the Anime Cards Mailing List. I prefer to discuss new features there, all things considered, so that bad ideas can die an early, and un-googled, death.
I look forward to hearing your opinions! There is a new block on the right, click away to sign up.

Hey, all! I have been making a lot more lists, so these have been moved to their own Info section, instead of being in the FAQ.
The Info section will contain information about ACO's status, missing cards, completed sets (some day... ), etc.
From now on, when you attach an image to your forum post, or to anything, you will be able to see a thumbnail of that image directly underneath the post. I don't quite like how this is formated, but it should be useful.

Well, due to feedback, I added a subscription module. Now you can subscribe to forum posts or certain terms, and get emails sent to the address you registered on ACO.
You will see a link to 'subscribe post'. Click away. OR, when you post, you can check 'Subscribe'. I haven't really tested this, so please let me know if you have any problems. You can see all your subscriptions from 'my subscriptions'.
